Rosmarinus officinalis

Rosemary is familiar as a highly fragrant flowering shrub growing in many gardens.  Its strong, camphoraceous, woody/balsamic aromatic oil can be smelled when rubbing the leaves, and is obtained through steam distillation.  Rosemary is considered cephalic and is a wonderful brain tonic, sharpening memory and focus.  Its analgesic properties make it an excellent treatment for arthritis and muscle aches and pains.

Blends well with: lavender, spruce, peppermint, cedarwood, clove

Major constituents: alpha-pinene, borneol, camphene, 1,8-cineole, limonene
