Patchouli is familiar from the 1960’s when it became the perfume of choice of the hippie generation. Patchouli is extracted by steam distillation from the dried plant leaves.  Its aroma is pungent, earthy, woodsy, musky and highly distinctive.  Patchouli is most often appreciated for its unique fragrance; it is also useful for skin and haircare and as a soothing and relaxing oil to help nervous exhaustion, stress and anxiety.
Blends well with: cedarwood, sandalwood, clove, frankincense, geranium, sage
