Felted soaps are a brand new yet traditional concept in natural skincare. Handmade by an artisan soapmaker and fibre artist located in Sonoma in the Northern California wine region, these soaps make a unique and unusual gift for yourself, family and friends! Our soapmaker begins with circular soaps containing pure essential oils and felts them in a secret process. The results are one-of-a-kind colorful wool-covered soaps, with the colors keyed to the essential oils in the soaps. 
The soaps themselves are hand-crafted with a vegetable oil base and essential oils --- no synthetic fragrances, dyes or preservatives. Wool is a naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal material and molds beautifully to the soap to feel good in your hand. The felted soap is a soap, washcloth and gently exfoliating loofah all in one, so it is great for travel. Simply squeeze the soap to remove excess water and allow to air-dry after use. The wool interweaves more tightly with each use, becoming more ‘felted,’ so when your soap is used up, re-use the wool casing by slitting the edge of the soap and inserting a new soap of your choice --- the wool will self-seal. Felted soaps are long-lasting and will remain fresh for at least one year.
