Salvia sclarea
Clary sage oil is obtained by steam distillation from the flowering tops of plants grown in Bulgaria. Clary sage has a rich, warm, herbaceous aroma often described as ‘tobacco-like.’ It is an important oil for its key qualities: it is relaxing, rejuvenating, revitalizing, balancing, and inspiring. It is also considered warming and aphrodisiac, and can be very sedating to the nervous system.
Blends well with: rose, chamomile, lavender, marjoram, geranium, orange
