Ylang ylang, or ‘flower of flowers’ is indigenous to Southern Asia.  Its creamy yellow flowers are heavily aromatic, and the oil is obtained by water/steam distillation.  A floral/spicy addition to any blend, ylang ylang’s oriental, heady aroma adds an exotic and voluptuous richness.  Euphoric and aphrodisiac, ylang ylang is helpful in soothing and relaxing the nervous system – but use sparingly as it can be overpowering.
Blends well with: all citrus, sandalwood, cedarwood, rose, geranium
